Our last event during our series of events, Finer Hour. During this community service, the Ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Alpha Chapter wrote letters to the elderly at Seabury.
Don't Make It Harder On Me
This partnered event with ASA was about colorism and how it still affects the Black community. There was a presentation by Dr. Jennifer Williams about the history of colorism and then a panel discussion with Jedidiah Agbenu, Travis Brown, and Kaylin Culliver.
Participants left the event having the tools to build their brand and market themselves. Howard University's PRSSA and Jade Walter gave wonderful presentations on how to build your brand.
At this event, participants learned about the history of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., as well as Alpha Chapter accomplishments.
This panel discussion with Dr. Afiya, Oil of Essence, and Tangles dove into the topic of hair-care and self-care.
At this event, participants learned about the importance of mental health and seeking out therapy. Soror Keesha Beasley, a family therapist, gave insight into the impact of mental health awareness for Black women.

Creating a FINER You
For the month of July, the Ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Alpha Chapter, put on a month-long health challenge. This included 5 events throughout the month that promoted physical health, as well as daily challenges posted on Instagram Story that encouraged viewers to work on their physical and mentalÂ health.
On June 27th and 28th, we held an event on Instagram Live about COVID-19, the Black Lives Matter Movement and Sexual Assault as it pertained to Howard University. This event was in partnership with the AlphaÂ Phi Alpha Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, The Black Burg, and Professor Celeste Davis, JD.
